Books support of Rainforest Destruction

Deforestation is a huge concern for the environment. In Indonesia the deforestation activities are happening at an alarming scale and parties have tried to cultivate the awareness to the locals including the authorities. Activists from other countries as well as books published for children which encouraged them to be more positive and taking actions such as recycle and being green. Some publishers of such children books in the United States on the other hand were contributing to the destruction of these rainforest.

These publishers got the papers from Indonesian's rainforest. According to ran.org( Rainforest Action Network), two major corporations, Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) and Asia Pacific Resources International (APRIL) are the most unethical companies which have destroyed the rainforest in Indonesia. Disney, a responsible corporation have stopped taking any papers that are linked any deforestation activities. Books published by Disney are now environmentally friendly and with such commitment from the giant of the entrainment industry, this have a strong and positive impact towards the younger generation to take simple action to care for mother nature.
To stop the deforestation in Indonesia, the country’s itself must take a strong and bold decision. Having illegal loggers and their operations in court will not stop these activities. Providing alternative and rewarding jobs and awareness will solve the problem.
